Came here to eat a salad for lunch and have been here many times before. Since they built the Hyvee across the street I have been going there instead due to the same circumstances I ran into today, a lack of seating. Migrant workers come here, bring there own food and drinks, microwave their food, use the stores napkins, eating utensils etc and don't spend a dime. I didn't know this was a designated bring your lunch and Hen House provides all your dining needs type of place. HyVee has far superior food options with plenty of seating!
Completly over priced. Customer service could use an upgrade. Store is clean but not well stocked sometimes.
Hen House in Johnson county was great. I've been here once and need to make it in more...then I'll also update this review.
This store may be struggling with competition from a HyVee across the street and a Sprouts a couple of blocks away. But it's worth supporting. Fine salad bar & counters full of fresh prepared salads, cooked meats etc. Marvelous fresh fish & seafood, very little packaged meats. The butchers are there to please & there are also ready to cook meat items such as stuffed peppers, flank steaks, chicken breasts. The staff is cheerful and eager to help
they have alot of specialty items that hyvee doesn't have but your gonna pay for it. Hen house is clean and nice but more expensive than any of the other grocery stores in the area
