Mounds of meat! I had the sliced beef and it was plentiful in both quantity and quality. Good smoked taste and not dried out but very juicy. I ordered ribs as well but they were a little tough and dried out. Disappointed in the ribs. Tried the sauces and to help the ribs. The original sauce has a distinct tangy taste for bbq sauce but good. The others were a little too sweet for me. Topped my meal off with potato salad and baked beans. The baked beans were excellent with chunks of pork in it I believe. The potato salad was a little bland to me but everyone has their own style they like. All this was way too much food to finish. A lot of people get to go boxes to foil before leaving. The staff was helpful and overall a good food experience!
Arthur Bryant. We are in town for a KID ROCK concert and decided after research and reviews we would eat BBQ at Arthur’s. Glad we did it was a lot of food for the money..great portions. I had short ends they were really good. However I do have to say the staff was NOT very friendly at all. When I came up to pay the young gal was on the phone just having a full blown conversation about her plans for the evening she never even acknowledged me. She finally did get off the phone to charge me! The guy behind me was getting a t shirt and she treated him like a criminal she was like SIR NO NO NO ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK!!!! How could he ask when she’s blabbing her mouth on the phone?? I would’ve told her to put the T-shirt where the sun don’t shine!! Other than rude staff food was great!!
Arthur Bryant's Barbecue should be near the top of any Best BBQ list. This is where burnt ends started, and this is one of the best places to get those. I always get the combo with fries. Sometimes beef/turkey, sometimes ham/turkey. This is 2 meals in one. I use up all the white bread and then I have meat and fries left over. They have several sauces and it is just as REAL as you can get. Go there.
Food has been great each time I've gone. Barbecue sauce is excellent and the Pig in a Bun is well worth your money. Only downside is the staff, who are not welcoming or very friendly. World class food, yet I've had better customer service at McDonald's.
Overall I would rate Arthur Bryant's a solid 3.5 stars. I was impressed with the food for the most part. The turkey was absolutely delicious, maybe the best I've ever had at a BBQ joint. The fries were awesome and definitely tasted fresh. And having three different sauces to pick from is a huge plus. Unfortunately I found the beef very fatty and not to my liking. And the service was absolutely awful with employees who clearly don't have any sense of customer service. Having said that, this is definitely a place you need to try out and judge for yourself.
