Around New Years Day I received an email from my therapist stating I had broken the attendance policies enough and she could no longer see me. Absolutely the opposite of what I was told. I responded to the email explaining what I was originally told, and how I needed to see my therapist because I was worried I was a danger to myself.
On January 3 I got a call not from my therapist, not from the lady I spoke to, but from the intake person. She only apologized if I had misinterpreted things and blamed me instead of the miscommunication on my end. She made me feel more worthless than I already feel as a survivor of sexual assault. I was crying on the phone begging her not to hang up on me and she hung up on me. If you are a survivor of assault, don't go here, MOCSA will make you feel lower than you already feel. I really want to get better, but if people treat me like this, why bother?
I know a particular person who works for this organization who goes from school to school teaching children. This particular person is a well known extreme feminist who is constantly posting her extreme hate for all men on social media. I do not want an extremist of any kind pushing their views on the youth. Nobody who truly hates any group of people whether it be due to gender, race, political stance, etc... should be in the schools. If this organization ever comes to my childs school they will be staying home that day.
UPDATE: Kristen is awesome. She was the only Person to genuinely care about my well being and that I why I am taking the time to edit my original post and revise this to a 3 star rating from a one star. She is flexible and caring, empathetic. Everyone else is not. This is the original post if you are curious what happened...
Don't go here. They are not trustworthy people and do not care about you getting better. I had called to cancel an appointment the other week, and contacted a person who said it was no big deal. I explained I had missed a lot of appointments mostly because of being nervous about EMDR therapy, and she said that was not something they take in to consideration and everything would be fine. I told them I would call in the New year(next week) because I really needed help. Soon.
