Sure the trailhead is great. It's an awesome place to walk (except for the people with aggressive dogs) but you can't safely get to the park or community center safely on foot or bicycle from the surrounding neighborhoods and there's not restroom facility w/o going to the community center.
It's a quite place to take a walk on the lengthy and well-maintained trails, sit on a bench, feed the geese, or whatever. Only drawback is there is no bathroom or even a port-a-potty here... Also during heavy rains the water level rises and this meandering creek becomes a roaring stream!
The park is OK. The adjacent Line Creek Trail is awesome!
There's a lot of open area but not a single play structure anywhere for kids. The adjacent neighborhoods paying taxes to KCMO have to go to Parkville, Gladstone, Riverside for a playground....
It's a good park, not enough zombies though
My daughter loves the little train there and also her soccer league is there to. Great place!
