Within our search, we have found several WONDERFUL daycares that are truly about the children, patience and understanding...not dictating rules to make life easier for themselves.
We just started our 2 children at Countryside and they LOVE it. Thats a first. YEAH!!!!!! The staff is AWESOME. My kids LOVE being out in the country with the cows, chickens and multiple classroom pets. I wish I could go to Countryside.
As a montessori parent of 2 children, I thought all montessori schools were the same. When we decided to start a school, I was thrilled. The location is absolutely beautiful on an 80-acre working ranch with cattle, ducks, and chickens. The school is one of the barns that has been refurbished and turned into an excellent multi-classroom setting. We have a very low staff-student ratio. We feel very fortunate to be able to offer ourselves, and this school to all our children, and yours. The children will always be number one at this school, in every way. I just cant say enough. Take a look, you wont regret it.
The director of this place was rude, hateful and extremely judgmental. She was very condescending, did not act like she had time to talk to me but then apologized that school had just started and she would call me back in a few minutes after leaving me on hold forever. She never did call back...so quite sometime later, I finally called her back. Mistake.
The entire team at Countryside is fantastic. I feel comfortable everyday leaving my 4 month old, knowing that he will be taken care of just as I would care for him. They treat you like family and honestly have your child's best interest at heart.
I was informed that since my coming 3 year old boy (still another month) was not fully potty trained that he would be asked to leave the school immediately upon turning 3 until he was potty trained. She also said that ALL of the other daycare centers did this.............rest assured they do not. They might not let them move up to the 3 year old class until they are, but certainly not ask them to leave. What happened to what is best for the child? You honestly think all coming 3 year old boys are potty trained? Not even close.
If they are this militant about potty training, then how are they with the understanding of children in general? What happens if they have an accident? Do you know how your child is being treated? Like someone else mentioned below, they only seem to act busy when parents come by...this seems to fit the logic. I want what is BEST for my child and if this is what people think is acceptable...wow...just wow.
Both of my kids went to Countryside. They loved the teachers and we truly felt that the teachers loved them right back. The country setting is fantastic. Both kids loved the cows and baby chicks in their room in the Springtime.
