As a wedding vendor we work with lots of different vendors throughout the metro. Shana & her staff are my top recommendation for anyone newly engaged. Not only will she deliver a top quality product in terms of flowers & rental decor but she also has the ability to create a complete design based on the things that are important to you - only it will be way better than anything you could have imagined yourself! The other thing that you are getting when you hire Shana is her attention to detail and commitment to making sure that your day is PERFECT. She is the first person on site and the last person to leave. She and her staff provide a level of service that is nearly unheard of in the wedding industry. When you go with Shana Vaughn Designs you are entrusting your day to a true professional!
Always extraordinary, makes me smile
The only reason this is 2 stars instead of 1 is because it seems that Shana's finished product IS gorgeous. Her pictures of past work are beautiful, but unfortunately we couldn't get far enough into the process with her to experience it. We had 2 meetings with Shana, 1 to go over ideas, and the next to get a quote. Both times she was attentive and asked lots of questions, but it was slightly apparent that she's a bit of a perfectionist and wants things HER way, even though it may not be her wedding. We brushed it off and waited until we got her quote...which was $7,000. Maybe some people are willing to pay that for wedding flowers, but that is WAY more than our floral budget, as well as almost every other one I've heard from people I know getting married recently. She did say that it was a very extravagant plan and could be reduced and cut back. So, we decided on things we could live without and told her what we would still like to get from her. After this, she stopped responding to all communication. One time she said she had a "big wedding" that weekend and would get back to us. After 2 check-in emails over the next 2 weeks went unanswered, we felt that she simply was ditching us in hopes to land a bigger wedding on our date. So be it, but it is woefully unprofessional to not even give us the courtesy of an email saying "I'm sorry but I don't think we are a match. Thank you for your time." In the end we are glad we did not go with her. We have started to hear bad things about her business after relating our experience to people around town, and apparently she can be very difficult to work with and cause drama in weddings when she doesn't get her way. If you can put up with that, you will probably get some beautiful flowers. But we found someone else who is letting us choose what we want and is giving us something beautiful that is within our budget :)
I purchased flowers for my wife on Valentine from Shana. They were the most stunningl flowers I have ever bought. 10x better than any grocery store florist shop I have ever used. Her shop is very elegant and beautiful.
