I am grateful to live in a city with such an admirable library.
Absolutely beautiful library, great place to study and really interesting events.
If you are into Science you will be blown away by this library. It has so many incredibles things to see. The grounds are extensively planted with a tremendous amount of unique trees and shrubs. Plan on spending several hours to visit this fun place.
The Linda Hall Library is a real gem of Kansas City, and I highly recommend anyone interested look further into the many different resources they provide freely to the public.
I've been here a number of times, and love the place. They state they are "the world’s foremost independent research library devoted to science, engineering, and technology", and honestly I'm often surprised about how few people in Kansas City are aware of this remarkable resource. I've attended a number of their lectures, and their events/ programs, and have enjoyed them immensely. Their facility is fantastic, really interesting decorations and displays, and regularly open to the public, which includes a cosmology theater as well as access to a huge number of historic texts. Their website also is a remarkable resource for lectures and information. The staff I've met are all very nice people and are very knowledgeable about many different topics.
