My family and I went to see the movie Wonder at the 11:20 showing this morning. We were told that the first showing was for VIP customers. Meaning the ticket cost more and you had to be 21 years old. So you are telling me that the first show at 11:20 on a Sunday morning is for the ones who want to have alcoholic beverages ? Priorities totally wrong ! If you want an adult only viewing time how about in the evening ? Not 11:20 in the morning. I guess it's all about the almighty dollar.....very sad
Bought tickets online for my three kids and I to see The Last Jedi here. Got to the theatre, bought snacks, and got denied by the ticket taker. He said it was a "21 and over only" showing, on account of them serving alcohol. Another family was also being denied and concurred that this was not made clear online. Manager gave us refund on tickets, but we lost the 6$ processing fee and money on overpriced snacks. Didn't seem to care when I candidly told her how disappointed the kids were and that we'd never be returning to their Mickey-Mouse-operation movie theatre ever again.
I love this theater! Free, easily accessed parking (barring special events in the area). Nice decor-love the star photos. I appreciate the policy re: kids so most of the problems from their past crowds is nearly non-existent. Comfortable seats with plenty of leg room. Theaters of varying sizes so you can see the big blockbuster on a big screen or the romantic indie on a more intimate one. I've only seen 1 movie in the VIP lounge and it was not busy so I didn't encounter problems with sight lines but see how a fuller showtime could be problematic. Always courteous staff. Have had to wait at times in line for tickets but you're indoors and I'm seldom there at the last minute so it's never made me late for the movie. The theaters and bathrooms are usually clean although sometimes big weekend crowds are hard to keep up with. I found out that the listings of their showtimes at the box office have the VIP showings in yellow so you can either plan for or avoid that but I don't think there is any indication of this when you check the website for movie times. Maybe it's there and I missed it but it's only problematic if you're coming with kids. And as all the reviews have said, ticket prices are the best in town. Concessions are comparably priced.
Took a chance and saw a movie there last weekend despite the horrible reviews. They have updated their policy regarding kids under the 18 - they are now required to have an adult guardian which has clearly helped with the disruptions. The concession service was fast and professional, food tasted good, ticket price was very good, seats were comfortable. Only complaint was the odor in the theatre - it vaguely smelled of old vomit that hadn't been properly cleaned in the past. A good scrubbing of each theatre needs to be done. Oh, and the one esculator going UP needs to work - walking up sucked!
Great price! However, we left the movie with our shoes sticking due food and spilled soda in most rows. Bathrooms were also pretty gross. Good for a cheap flick though! If you want quality, hit up Cinetopia or AMC.
