The soma has artichoke dip tastes different but Everything else was cool until the waitress spilled sauce all over my Mother’s sweater.
Inedible food! So-called Yukon potatoes had a flavoring totally inconsistent with potatoes. Sickly looking asparagus came with grease and too much salt. Asked for both to be replaced and agreed to a double order of asparagus instead of asparagus and potatoes. No salt on asparagus this time but odd flavor and they must have been part steel because I could barely cut them with steak knife. Couldn’t wait to get to car to cover horrible taste left in my mouth with gum. Waiter never checked on whether things were ok. He walked right by my table several times but still paid no attention—I literally had to yell to get him to stop. Didn’t ask if replacement asparagus was ok either. Just brought me the check and I told him I couldn’t pay for this meal. I could pay something for salmon and not terrific cup of tomato soup but he said I wouldn’t need to pay for anything. At least they did that. This is from a person who is not in the least picky about food and has never left a review of any kind on line. I’ve never experienced such bad food in any restaurant.
It is worth traveling to other locations of Houlihan's for MUCH BETTER Service. It was terrible. We waited 1 hour to be seated when we were told 20 minutes. It took forever for anything to happen, drink orders to be taken, the appetizers took a really long time and we only got 3 of the 4 we ordered because the server had been informed BEFORE we ordered that the kitchen was out of one. We were long done with our apps before the food came and parts of the entree course were left off. We even told the person who brought out the food what was forgotten, a side salad, and it STILL NEVER came. It took us about 1.5 hours to eat because of all the slowness. It was not a great experience trying to keep a 3 year old occupied. It was not even busy when we were seated. We had waited through the 6pm dinner rush. $85ish for 4 entrees, 3 apps and that was after a free entree coupon. It was a stressful double birthday party. I am glad I did not go on my actual birthday. Seriously bad. So bad that we tipped 12% and wrote the waiter why.
Nice Place! Very good bar! Food is really good! Try the cuban egg rolls. They be the bomb.
