Kind of a mixed experience tonight. My chicken, and my wifes shrimp were delicious. Her Cesar salad was soggy and my side salad was hard. The blooming onion was a sad little thing without much breading. Our server was very personable, and competent, but as the restaurant filled, he was slow to return to the table, and bring the bill. Understandable, but still not appealing.
My fiancee and I had a wonderful dinner! There was a huge thunder storm outside, an incredible light show. The food fantastic. We got there about an hour and a half before closing. But they were friendly, and eager to serve us. We both got center cut sirloins. Veggies and a potato soup. For desert it was of course a 'Thunder down under!" Quite appropriate for the situation. There was a massive line of storms coming from the West. A very good meal, WE will be back!!!!
We had 8 people in our party there was another group of 8 waiting before us, we got seated first we ordered a blooming onion it was not cooked all the way, it was soft and the seasoning was still sitting on allot of the onion. We were suppose to have it taken off, it was not we paid for it anyway. One person ordered a bacon bourbon salmon it came with half a slice of bacon, nothing like the picture. Another person ordered the pork porterhouse and our was not cooked completely. We waited an extremely long time on the meal to come out.
The food was simple and good. They do not have a lot of fancy treatments and flourishes of somewhere like Applebees. The food at Outback seemed more authentic and natural. The broccoli was fresh. Even the mashed potatoes seem to have been made from scratch.
I think we got there between shifts because the service was slow at first. We got the steak and crab legs special. My dad pointed out that we got more crab legs than we would at Red Lobster. Everything was delicious. I did have to ask for the warm bread. The staff was friendly though. The best part was another table paid for a dessert for my daughter. That was so sweet! I didn't get the chance to properly thank them because I misunderstood who was paying for it. It was a handsome officer that left before I could thank him. I would recommend this Outback to anyone.
There was a table behind us that never got cleaned it stayed dirty the whole time we were eating.
