Hidden gem in the bottoms. Now even serves food if you haven't been here for a few years. Fun atmosphere and a good place to go later in the night. Also drinks and food were decently priced.
There is food and a smoking area but really come here for the ambiance and the drinks. Prices are fairly moderate on average. This is a small bar and it can get super crowded during the weekend but it's a unique spot
This hidden gem is quite the place to be. Often has live music and, of course, great drinks! Interior is very nice with great ambiance. The outside can be misleading making you think it may be a kind of sketchy place but it most certainly isn't!
There's no place in KC like the Ship! This is such a great place to wow out of town friends as well as to see great live music/incredible DJs. The original bar "The Ship" was downtown and after it shuttered the bar structure, port windows and other fixtures were saved and eventually used to create this unique space. From their iconic lighted sign (It's in the alley, keep looking) down to their matchbooks their style is on point. The bar gets a bit choked up sometimes but stay cool and maybe chat with one of the (probably) cool people standing near you. They also have a seated smoking patio with heaters so smokers don't have to suffer. Also- they recently did a massive overhaul of their space an opened a lunch counter and now offer food throughout the venue for lunch and dinner. So whether you''re hungry, ready to bust a move or just need a dimly lit table for 2 to talk it out The Ship is not to be missed!
Tucked into a alley in the west bottoms the ship is a very cool bar. It features some great decor and almost always has live music or DJ of some kind.
Love this place. Great music and ambiance. Also check out the food in the new diner. Specials are always awesome and I highly recommend the Cuban, especially the veggie Cuban. Also fried green beans are really really tasty!
