I’ve enjoyed going to the Zoo Bar on several occasions, with its unique style and mix of clientele, but last night (New Years Eve) a friend and I went in after the concert. It was late and it was busy. My friend ordered drinks at the bar from a guy (blonde/red head). He was purposely given the wrong change. When he was called out on the mistake, he gave him change for the 20 dollar bill he was given. My friend told him no, I gave you a $50 you owe me $30. Without hesitation he then gives him the change. He was pretty slick in what he was trying to do. I will just imagine he ripped unsuspecting people off all night.
The first time I walked in the door they sang me the "Zoo Song" for my birthday and I have been hooked ever since. It's the cleanest dive bar I've ever been too and the bartenders have personality with a CAPITAL P! They are NOT your run of the mill drones. Mini BEERS are king and the FIRE BALL machine is definitely his queen. Don't miss it!

I honest to God have no idea what I did to deserve that response, I’ve never experienced that in my life, and was really taken aback. Apparently don’t ask questions at a dive bar, just order and drink whatever they give you and pay whatever they charge you?
Cash only bar and a wonderfully dive atmosphere. Hidden gem for those who think P&L is too corporate...
Worst service I’ve ever experienced. I simply inquired about their drink prices for bottom, middle, and top tier vodka, and got met immediately with a combative attitude of “this is a dive bar and I have other customers to serve, what is on the shelf is what we have”.
