Beautiful building with an amazing amount of history behind it. Conveniently located within walking distance of a free train station and a short walk further to down town. Our room was uniquely decorated as well as the rest of the rooms. There is art on the walls done by the owner, I believe, also for sale if you're interested. The service from the staff was nothing short of excellent. Breakfast was a very holesome at home type of feel. Delicious omelettes were served along side fresh peaches straight from the tree outside! Exceptional stay overall. Will recommend. Will come again.

If I could give it a zero I would. Immediately upon walking into the facility there was an awful stale and musty odor that was obnoxious! The facility was old and gloomy and located in the part of town where I would not walk about at night. We immediately told the landlord that the facility was not at all what we expected and departed. We called Expedia and attempted to get our money back. The landlord refused because we had not cancelled almost a month earlier. The only way we knew to cancel was by arriving at the facility and experience the unpleasantries I mentioned above. Expedia was almost of no help in resolving the problem. I have no idea how this facility has a 5 customer rating. That in itself should tell you something. BUYER BEWARE.

First time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and it was absolutely worth it. We were greeted by Pedro, who is a phenomenal gentleman, and we were given a tour of the house and history before being showed to our room. The house is beautifully decorated with original antique furniture and feels very homey. This house is a step back in time and a relaxing escape from the city. Overall, an amazing experience. Pedro is the man! Very knowledgeable about the area and he helped us out tremendously.

Great place! Gorgeous building, very homie atmosphere. Both the owner Luke, and his assistant Pedro were very knowledgeable about the area, and knew the history of the area really well. Beautiful, but small rooms. Garden and patio out back, and a hot tub as well. The breakfast was also very good.

This was the first time we ever spent in a Bed and Breakfast and it was such a unique experience. If your looking for a typical hotel experience this is not the place for you! But if your looking for a historic adventure then this is IT! I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and she loved it! For the people saying it had small rooms yes you are correct SOME of the rooms are small but each and every room is COMPLETELY different with their own story behind each door! Each and every room has something different to offer as well! Our room was the blue room on floor 3 and although it was a little small and my GF was cautious about the maze it took to get there at first. We ended up with a hugeeeee bathroom with a HUGE 2 person tub to relax in with a window in the roof overlooking the stars! THE STAFF WAS AMAZING! My girlfriend is a super picky person when it comes to wait staff because we have been burned before with service but she was SO impressed with the way each staff member seemed to LOVE where they worked and was so happy to explain everything! We ate off China and were treated like ROYALTY! She awoke the morning of her birthday and was not feeling well at all so we got to breakfast 30 min before close but Luke (the chef/staff/waiter/artist etc...) waited over an hour talking with us until her medicine kicked in and she was able to eat to make her a customized organic omelet breakfast! As far as the SMELL goes it smells like a classic grandmothers house! It smelled of books, food and clean linens! My Girlfriend is a 100% honest person and at first when we arrived she was a little worried about the neighborhood because it was very old an dated! She of course confronted the staff and they not only assured her they SHOWED her every little detail about the neighborhood and we found that everything they said was 100% accurate! Once we looked a little deeper into the environment we realized we were surrounded by tons of up and coming development. My girlfriends favorite part was the CULTURE and the shrubbery! Inside looked of an India, china, Germany, Italy, Russian, Irish museum and outside looked like an island oasis! It was the perfect place to take her! She bragged to her sisters about it all the way home that evening so much that her family will be making RSVP's with them very soon! Thank you to all the wait staff for making our stay so memorable!
