A zero if possible.... Local Charleston office is the worst! Has no intentions of helping to resolve your issues. Buyer beware and if builder is offering this group for warranty then builder beware for the buyer!!
With the purchase of our home this was the group in charge of our warranty work. Basically they do nothing other than provide you with a site to log your warranty work to be done, then you get to contact all of the sub contractors yourself to schedule the work. Some made it out, others never even returned calls. Some attempted a fix to no avail, stated they would contact me with a better solution and never called back. I then have to continually update work to be done or work completed on the BBSG site. They never help get the subs out there that never returned calls for the work that needed to be done or needed more work and never called back. I am fairly certain there is no reason for these guys to be anywhere in the equation as they don't seem to do anything at all. Disappointed at best.
At the first meeting for the walk through I could tell the whole experience with bbsg would be bad. Flo was rude and flippant the whole walk through and lots of things we pointed out to be fixed she said they would not be fixed. She looked for nothing and left that job to us. Isn't that what she is for? She should know how a house should look. She's seen tons of new houses and we have only seen one. Worthless. Then when the open warranty time came (3months) hardly anything was approved to be fixed. I call and left her three messages over the course of a week and finally got a response. And she was rude then too. Like how could I dare bother her when I needed explanation on things. and like the others said you have to call contractors to schedule the work. BBSG does nothing. Such a crock. Would never willingly work with them again. However our builder has a bad reputation and looks like their warranty company does too.
Base upon what I have seen so far this warranty company is a joke! Stay away from. Ignore everything for the most part after you have signed on the dotted line.
Builder Buyer Service Group (BBSG) was included with the purchase of our new home. It was selected by the builder, we as the buyer had no choice. Three months in the new home resulted in some minor warranty work and was reported to BBSG. Problem is - BBSG plays no active role in the process. You (the buyer) still contacts representatives and/or contractors provided by the builder. Pretty much the buyer and builder communicate to agree on work to be performed, buyer contacts and schedules the work, you open your home for work to be done, and validate with BBSG work is completed. BBSG has fell short of my expectations after reporting this work in July and being October with no progress; I contacted BBSG do get an update. BBSG had nothing - no update, no concern, no idea!!! Their response is - let me contact the builder! Problem is builder and buyer have been communicating the entire time. BBSG will not be in business for long if they maintain their current role of facilitating warranty work. They dazzle their package with a services such as "pre-closing walk-thru" but they just walk with you - nothing else, you find the issues. I would personally recommend not having them included on the sale of your home and agree to work directly with the builder - that is what will take place anyway. No to BBSG!!!
