The owner is a bold faced liar. I went to test drive a car, first thing I asked was whether the car had been in an accident, he immediately told me "No, definitely not." I checked the car out and decided to take it for a test drive. When I got in, I realized that the lower seat belt restraint wasn't anchored beside the driver's seat like it should be, but instead the belt was routed under a seam in the trim. I asked the owner what the deal was and he played dumb and said he didn't know why the seat belt would look like that (for all I know, the belt is glued to the frame or something equally unsafe and uncomfortable to use). Suspicions aroused, I asked to see the CarFax, and right there it said the car had been in a front-end collision. When I asked him why he lied to me about it, he said that because he's from a different country he misunderstood what I was asking. TOTAL SCUMBAG. Additionally, the gas light was already on--I guess they don't want people to test drive long enough to find issues.
