Had an issue with a tire that was under warranty. Was told several times that someone would call me and keep me updated. No one ever did. I had to call every time and check. Turns out the tire they ordered had been there and no one called me to let me know.
In addition they offer appointments which do absolutely no good. It’s no different than walking in without one. They continue to help walk in customers while people with appointments are passed by. Pointless.
Discount tire offers a great service plan. Unfortunately, they damaged one of our vehicles last year during a routine rotation. They paid for the damage after we loudly protested, but it didn't make up for the inconvenience. We took a chance on them again. Our low pressure light was still on when we picked up our car. We were forced to stop at the air pump on our way home. The customer service was very friendly otherwise.
No appt set up I hastily walked into Discount Tire this morning. I was immediately engulfed with hospitality from each and every member on the N Oak team. I spoke to Jack on the phone and he remembered each-and-every detail of my situation. He knew what tires I needed and where I needed them not to mention I was running late to work. The Discount Tire team went above and beyond with finishing the job. They installed the tires, rotated and balance, plus cleaned the side walls. I was walking out of the store in less than one hour; two new tires and a coffee later.
Best tire store I've ever been to. These guys are knoledgable. They put all new tire pressure sensors on my car for less than half of what anyone else would charge. I appreciate the military discount they hooked me up with. Don't have a single bad thing to say about these guys. Thanks Jake at the front counter and to all the guys in the shop.
It shouldn’t be up to the customer to call.
Time is important and they don’t seem to grasp that concept.
I've used discount tire for a couple years and even sent people their way who bought tires from them. Now what I'm going to say next isn't because it hurt my feelings nor was I personally offended, but as a business owner if any of my guys said anything like what Jake said to me to any of my customers they'd be fired on the spot. In 2017, although I wasn't personally offended, other customers might be. When Jake asked my name, I gave it to him. And he led with "my wife thinks that's a white trash name." Again, No big deal personally, but it's just not appropriate customer service in my opinion. I'd like a refund on my lifetime rotation and balances as I'll be looking elsewhere to have my company's and my own tires serviced elsewhere.
True they have good prices but their customer service is lacking.
