I filled up my rental car in Kansas City the night before I returned my car to the Thrifty location at the Kansas City Airport to save some time in the morning. The next morning I went to top my tank again after driving approx. 15 miles but the clerkless gas station doesn't accept out of country Visa cards because it only recognizes American zip codes. I took my car to the drop off spot anyways to tell the clerk I couldn't fill it up and could he suggest someplace close to top off my tank. He said he couldn't release the car again, so I was stuck paying $11.88 extra for 15 miles of gas. It's not the $11. dollars, it is just that I didn't do anything wrong and still had to pay out money for something beyond my control and Thrifty was too inflexable to make a customer happy. I'm giving Thrifty a below average mark due to their lack of customer service.
