I'll take a little longer wait time so that the overwhelmed mom can have a few more minutes of a compassionate ear. Or so that the disoriented homeless man can get his bearings enough to describe his need. Because when I really need to be the one who holds up the line, I know they'll take their time with me, too.
They'll blame all your problems on anxiety if it isn't actual pain.
Due to my work schedule I have had to call after 5 almost every time I've called. As per their hours listed on google I still should have been able to reach them as their business hours listed are still 7 bit all I get is their answering service. I've been tryimg to reschedule an appointment for a week but they never call back and I can never talk to them just the answering service kind of frustrated that their hours on oogle aren't updated and you think they are open when they are not.
Sure, it can get a little gritty in the lobby some days, but that's sort of what you bargain for when you make an appointment with a team that's focused on the most neglected parts of our society. Everyone in this practice - from the receptionist to the CNA to the physicians - has the same salary. That says volumes about how intentional this practice is. I may only require 15 minutes of their attention every few months, but I spend it with practitioners who are present, engaged, sensitive and proactive.
