We have been dealing with various issues from skin to digestion. Dr. Dyer, Jenn and Julia have been amazing to work with. We drive 2 hours each way just to work with this office, as they are clearly interested in making the symptoms go away vs just masking them. They are extremely knowledgable in functional medicine and after a short time with this office, we are seeing great improvement in symptoms. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

After searching for functional medicine doctors in KC, I came upon Dr. Dyer and PIH. Although not covered by insurance, the membership fees seemed workable for me, verses having to come up with several thousand in a lump sum to even get started pursuing a functional medicine approach as I had found with several other providers. After a variety of labs tests, many not ordained by conventional medicine or paid by insurance, Dr. Dyer’s main diagnosis of my health issues was an advanced stage of Adrenal Fatigue, something not recognized by the mainstream medical establishment. But I can tell you--if you have it, you KNOW it is real.

How ridiculous is it to want to be diagnosed with some disease just so you can explain why you feel so bad? How disheartening to be told nothing is wrong when you KNOW something is wrong! That made me question my sanity—and so I tried to accept that I must just be depressed, although I continued to believe it was something more.
I had a sudden onset of nausea and vomiting two years ago. I saw two GI doctors who ran every test they said they could and concluded that I had Cyclical nausea and vomiting syndrome, which basically means that I'm nauseous and they don't know why. I begged both doctors to run a stool sample because I suspected I could have a parasite, but they both refused. When I finally found Dr. Dyer, he ran all kinds of tests that neither of my GI doctors ever ran. He also did a comprehensive stool sample and found two parasites. Oh and on top of that, he most likely found the cause of my infertility which I didn't even go to him to figure out! I'm really hopeful that both can be treated, and I am so grateful to have found a doctor who considers everything and runs THOROUGH tests before pushing pills at me or giving me a meaningless diagnosis. Highly recommend!

I truly don’t know where I would be today if I had not started seeing Dr. Dyer approximately one year ago. I was to the point of not being able to get out of bed, yet had been to my primary care doctor multiple times, complaining of extreme fatigue. I felt sick more often then I felt well. My doctor always ordered the same tests and I always got the same answer—nothing was wrong with me, physically, and it must be depression.
