Secondly, I was never given the hand massage that each client gets at the end of the service. I usually always tip about $20 just to prove that we (colored girls) do tip well, but this time I only tipped $6 and clenched my teeth as I gave that much. I did not make a fuss about it, but I am extremely dissatisfied with the service today.

Well there’s a lot to say about this nail shop, but I’ll start by saying that they did a horrible job. I’ve gone there twice just because BKS Nails was closed those two times. At first Ijust asked for a color change on my toes and they ended up doing pedicure which I did not ask for, after they did the wrong color, I had to explain to multiple nail technicians, it was very irritating.

They also let two other people go in front of me because they only had one girl who knew how to do acrylics. None of this was told to me.

They almost always do good on my gel nails. However, the customer service is a bit biased towards african americans. The level of service tends to be inconsistent. During my last visit I was charged $15 more than what was quoted to me when I’d first arrived. I was quoted $45 which covered soaking off, French tips, and gel polish. I ended up only getting the soak-off, overlay and gel polish and was charged $60. It would almost be equivalent to what was quoted before, except I skipped out on the French tip and stuck with the overlay instead.

In conclusion, every time I went there I felt like I’ve wasted money ALWAYS.

I hope I can post photos of what my nails look like. I always get a french refill, and I have never had such a bad one. I always have them use a color to blend it out. They did not do that, and they did not have any kind of color that did not have glitter in it. It looks disgusting.

I just paid to have my nails done and I will have to go to someone else to have them fix it. This is literally the worst salon service I've ever experienced.

I always do gel polish on my toes simple because they don’t chip (after a month), but the ones I got at Oak Nails started chipping 1 & 1/3 after I got them done.

When I asked my nail girl, another worker and the man Who said he was the owner about it they gave me a song and dance. I told him I was unhappy and they would not fix it.

interesting response that some customers nails do not bond correctly when I never experienced that with waldo nails...as stated before I will never be back or send any of my clients back. terrible... look at the other reviews

This is also after I waited more than an hour when they told me it was half an hour.

There are no words! Best nail salon I’ve ever been to. I’ve been coming here since they opened 6-7 years ago and every time I cheat and go somewhere else I’m highly disappointed. Nowhere compares to the quality and cleanliness of Oak Nails!

Andy is extremely nice and fixed my nails twice. I only came in because I have time on Monday and Waldo Nails is closed on Mondays, I had just had my first dip manicure at Waldo nails and it lasted 5 weeks and had a 3 week guarantee. I was very excited to get another dip manicure at a new place, within the first week one nail fell completely off and Andy fixed it, the next week another nail fell completely off ( it did not chip it fell completely off). Today, I lost three entire nail tops, so I went in to have them all taken off and expressed how frustrated I was. I paid over 60 dollars for this manicure and it has just been three weeks today. The manager on duty charged me $10 to have it taken off (yes half the price of a regular manicure to soak my nails in acetone) . Andy mentioned they guarantee their work-- but I am unsure of the time frame or how long the guarantee lasts. The manager on duty said she would talk to him about how to make it not fall off and last but... did not offer to fix it at no cost to me. I will never be back. No one ever called me even when they took my number.
