Sutherlands is an excellent Mid City Hardware store with an indoor lumber yard. Their employees are very knowledgeable and helpful and when you go in there every couple of days they know you by name.
Not quite the selection of a big box stores but definitely has most anything hardware wise you need.
The only benefit of this place is location. If you need something quick it works other than that make the drive to Lowe's at 135th n state line. Customer service is a joke here. Intelligence let alone product knowledge is not needed to attain a job here. Typically going to pay 15-20% more than the larger chains. A few weeks ago the "kid" working the paint counter literally said to a coworker atccustomer service desk "I'm not helping anymore customers today after this lady" I was browsing in the paint isle behind him.. So after he helped the customer at the desk... he frigging left and went to customer service desk and sat down!

The same thing has happened multiple times. Go somewhere where they know what they're talking about. I don't like to write bad reviews, but I've had three or four bad experiences here and it's always the same.
Anyway... Very hard to get help here, limited in knowledgeable staff, prices are higher, slow lines, poor store management. Years ago... at least 10 years ago, the store was great.. it's a shame management hasn't recognized the shortcomings of this store.
If you want to wait a lot, look for ten minutes for help and when you get help, they don't know what you're asking, come here.
