Attended two day training session for work at the conference center here. Looks like a nice new hotel, but the lobby is terribly decorated. Also, if you're looking to rent the conference center for an out of town audience, looks somewhere closer to the city. Those from out of town attending the training were frustrated how far the hotel was from everything.
I love the Holiday Inn. However, my stay was horrible until the last night. I called at 530pm and let the front desk know that the water in my tub wouldn't cut off. I left my hotel room at 600pm. I got back at 930pm and the water was still running. Between 930pm-1100pm I called the front desk 4 times and the problem was not resolved. They told me that they do not have any extra room and that the maintenance guy left at 4pm. So, I had to stay in that room with the water running all night (in which btw it sounds like you are trying to run bath water). So, you tell me how you think my night went..
The hotel is nice. Nice rooms. Nice bed. The only problem I had was the staff. Very rude house keepers. Other people I was with mentioned problems with the house keepers as well. She threw out personal items away before check out and was trying to push us out of the room early.
Opened in 2009, so still pretty new now (2017). A fun ars deco feel with friendly staff; a decent pantry; and close elevators (important to a massage therapist like me). Very close to the airport near I29. Under some construction but still plenty of parking.
Nice hotel with annoying "Smart" features. You have to put your key card in a thing by the door to power on everything. There is also a sensor in the bathroom that activates the vent. The vent stays on for a long time....the breakfast is average to OK. The hotel is clean and nice. Beds are comfortable. The floors are loud though...I was woken up by the person above me at 6:30 AM.
