There's absolutely no way you'll leave Ted's without getting full. I went with the family on a Friday night around 7:45, and we were seated immediately. Our server brought over salsa and cheese dip for everyone, took our drink order, and we were off to the races.
I was with a group that arrived at opening (11 am) on Friday, October 6, 2017. They had been made aware of the group coming and had a table prepared. We were seated and had prompt service. The restaurant is new, clean, and styled American-Mexican. The menu is extensive, but the taste is not like authentic Mexican. My steak salad was very good, but the other ladies said their orders were just okay. There is a separate bar area.
Heard great things about Ted's, so we decided to check it out. The hostess was prompt and greeted us with a smile and showed to our table. Where they quickly placed chips and dip on the table(queso and salsa). Our server Chloe was the best, she asked if we have been here before, we stated it was our first time here, she then went over the menu with us and explained just about everything she could and made some great recommendations and brought us some complementary tortillas(amazing). My wife had the tamales and I had the The best tacos. Both were very good. Ted's has become our favorite Mexican place.
We were greeted by three employees right when we walked in. Promptly seated and waited on right away. The complimentary homemade tortillas are delicious. Complimentary cheese sauce as well. The food arrived quickly and was good. We then had complimentary dessert! The manager checked on us during the meal which I always appreciate. Other reviews mention the price - we didn't feel that it was really that much higher than elsewhere. My lunch special burrito was $10 and came with 2 sides.
Ted's scores big points for offering free cheese dip and thick, tasty tortillas in addition to the standard chips and salsa. They bring the sauces in individual bowls for everyone at the table (double dip to your tastebuds' content!). On the downside, all the little dishes (an empty app plate per person, free guacamole for newbies, too - not a bad thing!) basically means the table is instantly cluttered. Substitutions are welcomed without hassle. Main courses are mostly typical. The wraps are the standout for me. Service is generally quick. Just please figure out how to cut back on the table clutter!
The food tasted good. Lots of roasted pepper and cilantro flavor in the sauces on my fajita enchilada plate. A more traditional way would be to serve it smoothed in sauce. I liked Ted's variation. Only criticism is the plates were hot but the food was luke-warm.
Overall, the service was great. Our server was actively filling up salsa, cheese dip, and chips in addition to the, normal, drink refills, without even asking.
Once the meal was over, we were offered complimentary sopapillas and we declined since all of us were so full at this point. Next time I go to Ted's, I need to manage my consumption of cheese and salsa a little better than this time.
